Pakistani Prime Minister
Yusuf Raza Gilani
Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani says the United States must
respect Pakistan's red lines as well as the Central Asian nation's national
sovereignty and territorial integrity.
During a meeting with the US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter on Friday,
Gilani said that the US had to guarantee that it would commit no more breaches
of the country's borders in the future, Xinhua reported.
US-led NATO helicopters and fighter jets attacked two military border posts in
northwestern Pakistan on November 26, killing 24 Pakistani troops.
Islamabad says it has proved with relevant pictures and maps that the US-led
forces carried out the strikes deliberately.
Enraged by the attacks, Pakistan has closed the border crossings used by the
Western military alliance of NATO to send fuel and other supplies to the
US-led forces in landlocked Afghanistan. Around 40 percent of the non-lethal
supplies travel across the Pakistani soil.
